 We apply for a vast range of stalls in the south Wales area. For up to date stall information, please follow our social media pages. Locations will be published as soon as we are accepted into a market or festival. Our stalls will include lots of cakes and treats that are not available through the post.

We can! However, we need as much notice as possible. Please get in touch via the contact page.

Cake collections will be from SA18.

We can hand deliver anywhere in the UK accessible by main roads. We are unable to deliver to places with difficult driving terrain due to increased cake instability.

Hand delivery will be chargable per mile, and time travelled from, and back to SA18. If the journey is deemed to be long by Sumptuous, hotel rests and all expenses will need to be taken into account when ordering. We do not operate abroad currently.

  Please refer to the, "bespoke prices," page for size information and what extra decoration is needed. You can ask for a quote through the, "contact us," page. In order to give you an accurate quote, we will need the following information:

  1. Size of cake, diameter and how many layers/tiers
  2. Flavour
  3. Decorations/toppers
  4. If you would like an iced finish/chocolate ganache finish/buttercream finish
  5. Photographs of cake styles you would like us to take inspiration from. Sumptuous cannot copy the exact design of any cake. We also cannot print copywritten material 
  6. If the cake will be collected from SA18 or need delivery. If delivery is needed, please provide the postcode.

  Please note that the cake prices shown on the, "bespoke prices," page, reflect a basic, non decorated cake. 

 The best way to change your order is to notify us straight away via the contact form. We will try our best to rectify this for you. Unfortunately, we won't be able to make any changes to your order if it has already been packed or shipped. You would need to place a new order. Refunds cannot be made if you have ordered the wrong product, given the wrong address or details, due to its perishable nature. 

Blondies, Brownies and cookie pies are best stored in the refrigerator. Please place in the fridge on arrival for at least 2 hours prior to consuming. These can last up to 7 days, in the fridge, after arrival. 

Loaf cakes, cake balls, fruit cakes and cake bars are best kept wrapped in foil, in an airtight container, at room temperature. Please keep in a cool, dark area. These cakes can last up to 5 days after arrival, if the previous instructions are followed.

 

 The chances of receiving a defective item is very rare, but it could happen. Please take clear photographs of the product immediately. This needs to include:

  • A photograph of the outer packaging
  • A photograph of the inner packaging
  • A photograph of the defect itself
  • A thorough explaination as to why you think that the product is defective
  • Your order number, name and email address that was given at the time of ordering. Please let us know if the email address given at the time of ordering is the best one to contact you on

 Please use our, "contact us," form to get in touch and send the photographs.  We will respond to your enquiry within 5 working days of receiving all of the above. Sumptuous cannot begin the claim process without all of the above information. Please refer to the refund policy for further information.

  

Please check the, "track my order," page, to see if it has been dispatched. If it hasn't been dispatched, please allow at least 5 working days to pass before contacting Sumptuous. The lead times for dispatch is 5 working days, which doesn't include Bank Holidays or weekends.

 If you find that your order has been dispatched, and it is still in the delivery system, please allow 5 working days to pass before contacting Sumptuous. The delivery companies are under added pressure due to Covid-19 and strike action, the items may take longer to arrive. Similarly, the Highlands and Islands of the UK will take longer to be delivered.

 All parcels are sent via 1st class/tracked 24 or an equivelant courier service for bulky items or over 20kg. Please allow 10 working days from ordering to pass before contacting Sumptuous. This will account for the 5 working days for dispatch and 5 working days for delayed delivery.

 

 

Our bespoke cakes are made using the best tasting ingredients (in our opinion!) We use advanced sculpting and cake making techniques to provide both a great tasting, and aesthectically pleasing cake.

All cakes are tailor made to your requirements. Due to the unique nature of the cake, it is very difficult to give an acurate quote, without knowing all of your specific requirements. Please refer to the, "bespoke prices," page for more information.

 

 

  Orders are processed in the order that we receive them.  You can track your order status on the, "track your order," page. Lead times for the highlands and islands of the UK will be considerably longer. We always post 1st class/tracked 24 with Royal Mail. Parcels over 20kg will be sent via courier to the equivalent of first class. If strike action is underway or imminent, we reserve the right to change to another delivery company, without warning, as we deem necessary.

 Lead times for dispatch can be up to 5 working days - longer if this includes a bank holiday, inclement weather, or delays out of our control.  Despite sending your order with a 24hr delivery option, there may be delays within the postal service, which is out of our control. Please allow 10 working days in total from the day of ordering, before contacting Sumptuous Bakery.  

 Sumptuous uses the Royal Mail 1st class/tracked 24 service, and couriers for bulky parcels over 20kg. We currently deliver to the UK and have no immediate plans to expand internationally.

  If strike action is underway or imminent, an alternative courier will be sourced at no extra cost to the customer. Sumptuous reserves the right to change delivery company at anytime, without notice, as they deem necessary.
